Molokai Heritage Trust Community Manaʻo Form

Aloha ʻāina kākou!

Weʻve accomplished a lot as a community in these 2-years of planning for community ownership of Molokai Ranch. A major decision and accomplishment that we as a community made in this process has been the nomination and approval of five Molokai-rooted, hard-working individuals(Malia Akutagawa, James Espaniola, Keomailani Hirata, Jason Sykes and Zhantell Lindo) to serve as the Interim Working Board* to establish Molokai Heritage Trust**, the kāhua of our work moving forward.

Your board is doing a lot of work to establish Molokai Heritage Trust as a member-managed non-profit, your continued trust and support is crucial in these coming months. If there is any manaʻo that youʻd like the Molokai Heritage Trust Interim Working Board to consider, please fill out this form.

*The Molokai Heritage Trust is a community-based non-profit formed to acquire and provide oversight for the management of Molokai Ranch lands in response to feedback received over a series of 15 community meetings facilitated by Sustʻāinable Molokai in 2022. **The purpose of the Molokai Heritage Trust (MHT) Interim Working Board (IWB) is to establish the Molokai Heritage Trust as a member-managed non-profit to be the kāhua of our work moving forward for the acquisition and management of Molokai Ranch lands once acquired. The MHT IWB will focus solely on establishing organizational documents, membership, and the founding board. For more information on the scope of work of the MHT IWB check out our website at www.MolokaiHeritageTrust.org or the Expectations and Criteria for the MHT IWB.
