MHT Voting Members Elects its Board of Directors

MHT Voting Members have elected its Board of Directors.

A candidate forum was held online at 6pm on Friday, August 16th, after which an online ballot was opened from 9:39pm Friday, August 16 - 7:00pm Monday, August 19th.

The results of the Trust’s inaugural elections are:

Positions 1-3 (serving a 3-year term, 2024-2027)

2. Malia K. H. Akutagawa
3. Zhantell Dudoit Lindo

Positions 4-6 (serving a 2-year term, 2024-2026)
4. Lori Buchanan
5. Laʻakea “Laʻa” Poepoe
6. Keomailani “Keo” Hanapi - Hirata

Positions 7-9 (serving a 1-year term, 2024-2025)
7. Nanette “Lehua” Grambusch
8. Hawaiiloa “Hawaii” Mowat
9. Hanohano Naehu

The totals were automatically tabulated via Google Sheets and were cross-checked manually by the elections committee manually. For accountability and transparency, a public record of every ballot received with the name and email address of the voter replaced by an assigned number was shared with voters so they could verify the accuracy of their vote:

At 12.21pm on Wednesday, August 21 an announcement of the certified election results (posted above) was made to all members of the Trust.
